Hey everyone,

A t-shirt design has been chosen - gray shirt, purple & white writing!  Its gonna look great!  And we want them asap!  So, everyone please get your player & your family's order in to your team mom by Sunday nite - hopefully we can all do that.  Team moms, please call those you don't hear from and call or email your team's order to Martha by 9am Monday morning.  We will need to collect $ before we pick them up (your player's t-shirt cost is already in your fees), your team mom will give your that info later, but lets just get our orders in now.  Assuming we will get 48 orders, the price will be $12.  (If not, it will go up to $15, but i assume families will order since we are all new colors & mascot this year.)

So contact your team mom by Sunday nite with all family t-shirt orders, so she doesn't have to call you!

How many of you moms would be interested in getting together on Monday nites from 6-7 to do a book study together?  i am thinking of Choosing Gratitude by Nancy Leigh DeMoss, its a lifechanging bk and very encouraging!  i know i cant make every wk, but let me know the concensus, thanks!   We will also do another fellowship time or 2 as well.   Lee Postma

VAR B Cancellation

Harmony Science cancelled our VAR B game on 8-27.  Sorry girls:(

Gate Fees and Procedures

We have our first sets of home games this week!!!

This is just a few reminders about the gate.....

1.  Parents and siblings of players DO NOT pay to get into home games.  EVERYONE else does.  These gate fees help in our ref costs.

2.  If you are the parent working the gate at home games, please be at the gate table 30 min before your game starts.  For example, if you have the first game at 5:30 pm, be ready to collect money by 5 pm.  If you have the second game at 6:30 pm, be ready to take over the table from the other team at 6 pm.  If you are the last game of the night, you can shut the gate table down 30 min before the game ends.

Thursday:
4.  Var A tournament pool play @ Hempstead ISD.  As of now we play at 2 pm, 4 pm, and 6 pm.  Be watching for text updates if there are changes.
5.  14U Purple 5:30 pm @ KOR.  Be there by 5 pm for warmups.
6.  14U Black 6:30 pm @ KOR.
7.  Var B 7:30 pm @ KOR
(KOR plays their home games at the Lincoln Center- LRC)

Friday:
8.  14U Purple and Black team practice 12:30 - 2:30 pm @ LRC.
(We may try to change this practice time in the future to 11am - 1pm.  Be looking for updates from team moms)
9.  Var B vs. Snook ISD in Snook @ 4 pm.  Be there no later than 3:30 pm.
10.  Var A vs. Snook ISD in Snook @ 5 pm.

Saturday:
11.  Var A finishes off their tournament in Hempstead.  Times are dependent on Thursday games. BUT we won't have a game before 10 am!  YAY!

Player fees

Varsity Teams -- Both teams have a tournament this week and Var. A has a tournament next week. If you could make a $25 payment this week or total of $85 for August at practice that would help cover cost.

All Teams -- If we could have a payment schedule of player fees throughout the season this would help with the cash flow of paying refs, gyms, etc. So, a highly suggested option is a $85 payment due August 25, September 25, balance on October 25.

Bellville Tournament Rides 8/15

Hello High School Players & Parents,
We are taking our van to the tournament in Bellville on Thursday. I know some of y'all are riding with us & below is the list of people who are riding in our van. We will meet at 1:45pm in the corner of the mall parking lot by Chuy's & will leave from there at 2:00pm to head to Bellville. Parents, you are welcome to follow us there just please let me know ahead of time that way we don't accidentally leave you behind.

Tuesday:
1.  14U practice 5:30 - 7:30 pm @ A&M Methodist
2.  HS practice 7 - 9 pm @ A&M Methodist
Special Note:  MOMS....come fellowship with other MOMS during practice 6:30 - 7:30 pm upstairs at the practice gym.  Come meet and get to know the other MOMS!!!!

Wednesday:
3.  HS practice 3 - 5 pm @ St. Michael's

Thursday:
4.  Var A and Var B Tournament Pool Play @ Faith Academy in Bellville.
Pool play starts at 4 pm for both teams so be at the gym no later than 3:15 pm!
They play 3 times: 4:00, 5:20, and 6:40 pm.

5.  14U practice 12:30 - 2:30 @ Lincoln Recreation Center (LRC)
6.  HS Pizza Party 5 - 7 pm @ the Klatt's.  Bring $2 and RSVP to Coach Sarah so enough pizza can be ordered!

Saturday:
7.  Bracket play at the Bellville tourney.  It will be an early morning, but an exact time will not be known until after Thursday's games.  
Be prepared to spend $....in years past Bellville has offered optional tournament tshirts that usually cost about $12. Also, the fee for spectators is usually $5 or more per person with no family max.  I have an email out to get exact costs for gate fee and t-shirts.  If you would like to know in advance what I find out, text me closer to Thursday 979-575-0045 (April Gilliland).

Special note:  Remember if you catch a ride with someone to the game, help pay for gas!

High School Challenge for the Weekend

High school girls: I have a challenge for you over the weekend as you all mentally prepare for the season to start & especially for the tournament next week. Please take 2 hours of your time to watch the movie facing the giants. Pay attention to the goals the coach has for his team, & the things he challenges his players with & think about how those apply to you!

After much thought & prayer, Coach Klatt & I thought it best that the 2 captains for each high school team be selected through written vote by the girls themselves. We did this with hopes & prayers that they would truly think about what being a leader means not just in a team atmosphere but also in life itself. Below are the 2 captains selected by their teammates for each team.

Coach Klatt and I are loving this season with you all so far! We have such a talented & amazing group of girls both on & off the court. You all are an inspiration to us & we pray for you all the time! We're proud of y'all & can't wait for games to start!
