Trendy Aggieland T-shirt

Hello Volleyball families,
Abby Gilleland has designed a more trendy, feminine t-shirt for Aggieland Homeschool Athletics. They are pigment colored comfort color shirts with a pocket on the front. They come in long-sleeved gray ($24)  or short-sleeved purple ($19.) Each is sized Adult Small through Adult XXL. (There is an additional charge for XXL.)
The design is a full panther outline on the pocket with AHA Panthers printed underneath. On the back it has a large, full panther outline with paisley print inside and Aggieland printed underneath. It's super cute and will be a fun way to rep the Panthers in style!

***It was previously announced that our Senior Night would be on Monday, October 10th. For the sake of having our entire Panther family under one roof for the evening, we've decided to move Senior Night to Tuesday, October 4th. We are moving all games up to earlier times and adding a JV game to our lineup for that evening. 10/4 games will be as follows:

Tie Breakers for pool play will be: 1st - Point differential against other pool, 2nd - Coin Flip Placement in pool play will place teams into the bracket.

Bracket begins at approx. 11:00 am (each match will start 10 mins after conclusion of previous match (**timed listed is estimate)
The Consolation game is scheduled to start at 3:00.
The Championship game is scheduled to start at 4:00.

Additional bracket play information will follow.
***7 All-Tournment Players will be chosen for the tournament and presented medals.
Trophies will be given for 1st, 2nd , 3rd and Consolation

FULL CONCESSION STAND ALL DAY!! Concession items will include nachos, frito pies, hot dogs, hamburgers, fried cheese, etc!!

Trinity Tournament

Aggieland Junior High teams will play in a tournament at Trinity High School on Saturday, September 17th. 
Trinity High School, 500 E. Caroline Street, Trinity, TX

The participating teams are Trinity A & B, Aggieland A & B, Colmesneil A & B,
                                             Groveton A & B, and New Waverly A & B.

Our two Junior High teams will each play their first game at 9:00 a.m. Be there at 8:15.

JH Black will play at 9:00 in Gym 1. They will be the home team against New Waverly A.
JH Purple will also play at 9:00 in Gym 2. They will be the visiting team against the winner of the 8:00 game against Colmesneil A & Groveton A.
***The Championship game is at 4:00
***There is a consolation bracket with a final game at 3:00.

Senior Night

We will hold a Senior Night on Monday, October 10th @ Neal Rec Center between the 5:30 JV game and the 6:30 Varsity game. Senior players and their parents will be honored.

Saturday Bracket Play: We will play an elimination tournament with a Gold and Silver Bracket.  The Gold Bracket will consist of the top two teams of each pool.  The Silver Bracket will consist of the bottom two teams.  Each match will be 2out of 3 sets.  3^rd Set will be to 15.  Must win by 2 with cap at 30 (set 1and 2) and cap at 20 (set 3).   Awards will be 1^st , 2^nd , and Consolation for each bracket.  Each team will be awarded one All-Tournament medal.   MVP Medals for top two teams in Gold Bracket. (3 Medals for 1^st and 2 for 2^nd)

9.  Calendar - Please remember that the calendar sometimes fluctuates throughout the season.  Sometimes games or gyms may get canceled causing dates/times to change.  Vannessa will be posting the weekly schedule on Fridays.  (You must subscribe to the blogspot to receive these posts.)  Any last minute changes will be communicated to families by the team mom.

2016 Season is Starting!

We are excited to be starting the new season.  Practices begin Monday, June 20.  Practices will be held at A&M United Methodist Church on Mondays and Thursdays 5:30-8:30pm.  For the month of June, all players will practice together at the same time.  These first two weeks are free and a good opportunity for new players to meet our coaches and decide if they want to join.  At least one parent from each family should plan to attend the parents meeting on Thursday, June 23 at 5:45.  We will discuss the program and upcoming season and answer any questions.  Registration is due July 7.  Beginning July 7, junior high teams will practice 5:00-7:00pm and high school 6:30-9:00pm.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Monday and starting a fun season of volleyball.

Get Ready for Volleyball!

The committee has been meeting and preparing for our upcoming season.  We are blessed to have a wonderful group of coaches who are eager to start.

Our practices will begin Monday, June 20, 2016.  We will practice two days a week at A&M United Methodist Church in College Station.  Games will begin in August and end in mid-October.  New players are welcome to come to the practices for the first two weeks without making a commitment.  Official registration begins July 11.

I did some minor housecleaning on the blog yesterday and now I discover this random repost of August 2015 appearing in my email. I'm not sure what happened for this to post again. Please ignore the previous volleyball email. I guess those dust mites are coming back for another visit!
